History Lesson: The Seventies!

When you think of the 70’s what comes to mind? I think of bell-bottoms, platform shoes, huge sideburns and the Watergate Scandal. While those are certainly aspects of the seventies, the most important features of this decade were the societal shifts and the advancements being made in architecture, technology, and science!

During this decade Leonard’s was still located on St. George Street in downtown Saint Augustine. We had just begun processing our own color prints which were being offered to our growing number of schools throughout the state. It was also during this time that we purchased off-set printing presses that allowed us to print all of our paperwork internally (i.e: flyers, order forms ect.). However, one of the most important advancements we made was the creation of our Yearbook division. In 1977, we produced our first school yearbook!!

Below are a collection of photos from the seventies!
