Senior Spotlight: Saudia

This week Leonard’s is proud to highlight yet another incredible senior: Saudia from Tampa Bay Tech! This spring, Saudia will be graduating with honors. She will be receiving awards from FBLA, Green Club, SGA, and Essence. She is extremely active in her school’s sports community as well. Saudia has participated in track and field, volleyball, basketball, and her school’s swim team.

Saudia is also a prominent member of her community. She has participated in the City of Tampa’s Clean Division as well as taking part in the Metropolitan Ministries. She has also obtained valuable work experience through her involvement in her church as a audio/visual technician. “This experience has helped me learn to work with people from all different backgrounds as well as expanding my knowledge of new technology,” Saudia says.

Upon graduating from High School, Saudia plans to attend a four year university to study Public Relations. “I will be attending either Hampton University or Florida International University,” she says. She is most looking forward to beginning her college career and achieving her certification in Health Administration. Saudia’s most challenging undertaking thus far has been balancing a job, community service, online classes, and teaching Sunday school at church. “I persevered taking every day one step at a time and putting God first in all my decisions,” she says. When asked if a photo is truly worth a thousand words, Saudia says, “A picture is really worth a thousand words because it tells you a story. The person looking at it is able to relive the moment of when it was taken.” We wish Saudia the best of luck this year! We know she will go very far!
